***This is a hybrid role, working approximately 25% of time in office and the remainder of time remotely.***

Responsibilities

The Account Specialist assists customers with financial servicing needs through inbound and outbound contact. This role involves understanding customers’ situations, helping them utilize company products, and negotiating to resolve past due balances. The position requires working both cooperatively and independently to meet personal and team targets, balancing multiple tasks throughout the day.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Negotiating with customers to resolve past due accounts, ensuring compliance with FDCPA and state regulations.
  • Expressing empathy during customer hardships, identify assistance programs, and negotiate repayment terms respectfully.
  • Resolving customer issues, de-escalate difficult situations, and partner with other business areas to identify solutions.
  • Handling inbound and outbound contact center activities.
  • Working in a goal-oriented environment to meet targets.
  • Balancing multiple tasks and activities throughout the day.
  • Collaborating in person and virtually with internal teams.
  • Maximizing collections results on assigned portfolios with high KPI output in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

What you should have:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in using multiple tools/systems simultaneously.
  • Skilled at achieving and exceeding goals.
  • At least 6 months of call center experience, preferably in collections.
  • Ability to work in a quiet, private place at home without background noise.
  • Must meet work-from-home requirements (including hi-speed internet in your home with minimum 50 Mbps download & 5 Mbps upload speeds). 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work well with others.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in computerized applications (MS Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).

 

Base Hourly Rate: $18.00 - $20.00

 

The base hourly range represents the low and high end of the anticipated hourly range for this position based on the state average.  The actual base hourly offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.
